During the course of its 10 year production of licensed products from the 1960's films Dr Who and the Daleks and Dalek Invasion Earth 2150AD, Sixteen 12 Collectibles Ltd, (formally Iconic Replicas Ltd) has promoted its product ranges at many trade shows around the world. At these exhibitions and events we have furnished our stand with many full size prop replicas in order to generate interest in our products.
Several years ago, Sixteen 12 Collectibles Ltd had specially commissioned three full size Movie Dalek Replicas in three colour schemes - Silver / Red and Black in order to promote its (then) new range of 12" Radio Control Movie Dalek Replicas.
Now offered to the serious collector, these static full size replicas were commissioned to our own exacting standards and ARE NOT commercially available copies. As such, they represent a rare and unique addition to any Dr Who Collection.
Each of the Daleks features rotating head and posably claw and gun.
These reproductions have extensively "travelled" during the course of their life and as such show some very minor signs of ware.
These unique items are supplied with full provenance and certification of origin by both Iconic Replicas Ltd and Sixteen 12 Collectibles Ltd.

This model was presented to the BBC at concept stage and was displayed at many international Toy Trade shows around the world over the course of 1 ˝ years as well as being featured in catalogues and literature before the subsequent cancellation of the range.
The prototype features hand painted head and hands with fabric clothes, including a knitted scarf, over an articulated body. The original concept was to have interchangeable hair so that the Toy could feature the Doctor with hat or without. The prototype model can be featured with either versions.
This is a unique on-off piece.

This model is the culmination of many months of research and development and is the ONLY development model in existence. This pre production model was to be used by the factories in Hong Kong from which to produce all tools and moulds in order to “mass produce” the final Prop Replica. This Prop Replica is no longer going into production.
This Prototype model is highly detailed and finished to an exceptional standard as it was to be the 'template' for the entire collection.
This represents an incredibly valuable and unique item of licensed Gerry Anderson memorabilia, made even more valuable by non materialization of the final edition.
The model also features a pre production display case and plinth with 'test' brass plaque.
This model is supplied with FULL authentication of origin including copy of licensing agreement of proposed range.
A rare and one of a kind piece for any serious collector.

Granted license and developed in 2005 was a range of Plush Movie Dalek Replicas that were to talk, featuring original movie dialogue, and come in three different color ways.
The items were to be loose packed in trays featuring iconic Movie Dalek Replica imagery and contain 3 of each color Dalek from the films.
This early mock up was created in order to gauge initial response to the range from retailers as well as feature in catalogues and literature, however, after a great deal of deliberation it was decided that this was 'A Dalek Too Far!'
Tools were generated to produce the soft vinyl eye, gun and claw the soft fabric was patterned and hand made. This prototype (none talking) is a fantastic on-off piece that represents a Dr Who toy that although fully licensed, never came into existence. Promotional advert included.
This is a completely unique item and represents a one of a kind piece for any collection.
This prototype / development model is accompanied by full letter of authentication.

This model of the Hawk from Space 1999 is the very first model produced by our agents in China prior to any tooling or mould making for production.
This 'first look' model was used to advise our factory of further changes required before moving onto the next stage of development. Most significantly, changes were made to the shape of the “beak” as well as the decision taken to increase the “weathering” on production models. This model is significantly different to that of the production models and represents a completely unique part of the development process as well as a one off piece for the collector.
The model comes with display case and blank prototype base.
This prototype / development model is accompanied by full letter of authentication.

These three Micro Talking Movie Dalek Replicas were sent for our review by the factory for our approval on the color scheme.
Several amendments were made prior to production – note in particular the white on the shoulders of the silver Dalek – this would be grey in production.
Also of special interest on these pre production test shots is that due to the Movie Dalek Replica sound chip still in production, the factory inserted the sound chip from the earlier TV Micro Dalek version making for a very unique item indeed.
This is a completely stand alone prototype and represents a one of a kind piece for any collection.
This prototype / development model is accompanied by full letter of authentication.

This Micro Movie Dalek Replica is an early test shot produced by the factory to examine if the spray masks, (steel tools that allow areas of the model to be sprayed without affecting other areas) were working correctly.
As this was not a production sample and simply a test, it was of no importance to the factory if the colors were “correct”, hence this completely unique color way of silver with black hemispheres.
Also included is a completely unpainted 'Blank' version of the Micro Movie Dalek Replica.
This is a completely unique item and stand alone prototype and represents a one of a kind piece for any collection. (Note – one “ear” is missing)
This prototype / development model is accompanied by full letter of authentication.

In 2003 we released a successful range of Movie Dr Who collectibles called the 'LASER-ETCH COLLECTION'.
The range consisted of a new technology by where a model was scanned, and by the use of a laser generating thousands of pin points of light, the image could be recreated within a glass block.
When displayed and lit from below, the effect was magical, creating a beautiful display piece.
Considering other licenses to which this technique could be applied, we approached the then license holder, Carlton, with a license request for THUNDERBIRDS.
Carlton liked the idea and asked us to provide pre production samples of the five main Thunderbird craft.
Having built models of the craft, these were sent to our HK agents for scanning and TWO sets of 5 were produced. One for approval purposes with Carlton – the other, as a gift to Gerry Anderson for all his support he had given us over the years for our toy ranges from his shows.
The time and expense of producing these samples was significant, however the results were well worth it and the items were aproved by Carlton.
However, during the development time it was noticed that this technique was being utilized by many other companies and similar products were appearing in the market place for other propperties such as Star Wars and Lord of the Rings.
It was felt that the market was oversaturated and it was decided to put a hold on the range and re visit it at a later date – we never did.
Appart from those owned by Gerry Anderson, this complete set of Thunderbirds 1 to 5 is the only set in existence and is a very collectible set indeed.
These prototype models would make a valuable addition to any Thuinderbirds collection.
Full letter of authenticity is provided along with the models.
